Man, I can run 4 or 5 miles and not feel sore at all. Even the longer runs I feel pretty soreness-free at the end. But I do 25 lunges, and I'm so sore the next day I can barely walk.
Not cool, lunges. Not cool.

It is odd how some things can make one supremely sore, while other don't. Back in the day, my first softball game of the year always produced general body soreness of a surprisingly high degree. Softball! A sport for beer drinkers and assorted other fat guys! Stand around for 90% of the time! But it was that other 10% - in which so-called "ballistic" moves were involved - that produced all the soreness. Weird.
