Just got back from Sofia and Belgrade. Managed to run while I was in both places. After each of my 3 over night trains, I would drop off my stuff at the hostel and then go run 3 miles. It worked much better than coffee! And I really believe you don't truly know a city until you've run in it. It was actually easier to run in Sofia/Belgrade than Bucharest, because the sidewalks were in better condition and people didn't park their cars on them.
I'm feeling pretty solid in regards to my running schedule. 15 miles this weekend with Erin, then running with Dad/Erin(?). I think I'll be set for this marathon. I also signed up the the KC Marathon's 5K. I'm hoping to do it in 30 minutes or less. It's been interesting trying to increase speed at that level; it's added a new dimension to training. Always good to keep things interesting!
